Ugh.

Hey A’s,

I’m not even going to try to sugarcoat last night’s routing. We got our butts kicked. Among
the few bright spots was the play of team MVP Emily “Ichiro” Garber, who batted 1.000 with
3 singles and one of our very few RBIs. We struggled a bit on defense, but hey that’s bound to
happen sooner or later. No one did particularly bad, but we didn’t do particularly good either,
and the Triskellions ran away with the game in what could have been the biggest 2-out rally
in human history in the 3rd inning. Thankfully, we have one last shot at redemption, one more
chance to leave this season on a high note.

We square off against the Freedom Ticklers on Thursday of next week. I believe I may have
told some of you it was on Wednesday but I was wrong; sorry about that. This is the last game
of the season, so I expect to see everyone out there. Please let me know if you can make it to
the game. And so you know, I’ve about exhausted the team fund for alcohol so I will be asking
participants of next week’s game to contribute $3-5, or whatever you can muster, to help pay for
the beers. So keep that in mind. The game will be around 6:30, somewhere on the mall TBD. I
will of course circulate the field location once we have it.

That’s it for now A’s. Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Effing A,

Skip
